Our social work is centered in the Mantaro valley at 3,249 meters above sea level, in the city of Huancayo and the surrounding towns, we are located in the very heart of the central Andes of Peru in the Junin region, we have chosen This strategic area for being the axis of communication between the jungle, the Andean region and the coast of Peru, Although we are close to the capital Lima, the area has a peculiarity, of being a meeting point and traffic of a large number of people who are from On the way to the capital or settle in the cities of the Valley, in addition to being a confluence of other provinces, it still maintains many cultural and folkloric traditions typical of the Andean peoples of the area.
Its activities are focused on agriculture and commerce, surrounded by many small towns dedicated to agriculture and livestock, are famous small family industries dedicated to crafts and textiles, as well as silverware.

From the area where we worky
We work in the Mantaro Valley and surrounding areas, many families have settled there, sharing almost the same history and situation: having to migrate in search of a better life and provide better living conditions for their children, generally the parents are underemployed or working in the brick factories that abound in the surrounding area or seek life in the city as day laborers and street vendors in local markets.
This area lacks the basic services of drinking water and sewage, there are no health services and the health situation is extreme, registering too many cases of chronic infant and maternal malnutrition as well as preventable diseases with the simple basic notion of cleanliness habits and healthy environments.
Socially speaking, most of these people speak the language Quechua, language of the old Inca Empire, as well as basic Spanish, have been excluded from any notion of development and when they reach these areas around cities, their way of adaptation is slow, difficult and frustrating, many individuals developing negative social habits such as alcoholism, domestic violence, sexist social practices, family abandonment and other involuntary, such as neglect in the education of children and their personal development.
It is a difficult area, with small family dwellings dotting the slopes of a great mountain, houses mostly made of mud and adobes, with domestic animals around, and endless little children playing and wallowing in the red clay dust that it abounds on the ground.
